Richard A. Restiano, Sr. is a 35 year veteran in the field of photography.  He founded and was president of National Photo Dynamics in NY which photographed over 200 school accounts and created school portraits for over 1 million children in a 20 year span.  He sold the business to Olan Mills a national portrait studio chain in 1993.  He also founded Park Place Studio in Bronxville which photographed weddings, families and portraits.  His son Ricky Restiano currently owns and runs this still very successful business.

After years as a photographer he became the VP of Marketing and photography for Olan Mills, located in Chattanooga Tennessee where he rose to Chief Marketing officer of the $300MM company.  He served there for 12 years and also had a 5 year stint with HR Imaging Partners in Chicago where he built and created 5 portrait studios in the Chicago suburbs catering to HS students and families.

Over his career he has instructed hundreds of photographers around the country, moved companies from film to digital, and advanced them to online solutions and strategies as well as e-commerce solutions.

In 1989 he served as NY State President of the Professional Photographers Association. Currently he is the owner/partner of Arista Camera in Bronxville, NY where he is in the process of reinventing what a camera store can be.  His vision is to move from simply hardware sales to services and education where his previous experience and skills can be applied to customers making the transition from film to digital, helping them share, save and create photo products, books and framed art pieces.  Currently he lives in Bedford, NY with his wife Joyce and dog Mesa. He has 4 children and 7 grandchildren.  Read about photography on his blog<b>:  www.blog.aristacamera.com</b>

ARISTA CAMERA &amp; IMAGING founded in 1960 in the Bronx, NY by Ron LoPinto, was a regional force in the booming film and camera business for several decades.  In 1983 the business moved to Bronxville NY where it acquired The Bronxville Camera Store and relocated into a larger location.  Today, 50 years later, Arista Camera &amp; Imaging is a very different business then it was when it began.  Current owners and partners Manny Parks and Richard Restiano, sr.  have positioned the store as a service haven for those making the transition to digital and create better photographs.  In 2010 photographic classes were added along with workshops on photography, file storage, composition, design and sharing and saving images on a MAC or PC.  Framing and presentation of photographs continues to be a large part of their business, as well as an expansion into business services such as creating banners, posters and signs.  A large part of their current production involves transfers of VHS, super 8mm and 8mm films to DVD and scanning of photos and slides to DVD.  The introduction of business portraits, based on the background of Mr. Restiano a professional photographer), has opened additional opportunities to families and business executives who require photos for web pages, blog posts and print articles.

Going forward Arista Camera &amp; Imaging is building an online photo community where Love Live and Remember, its motto will be advanced.  WWW.aristacamera.com
