Eastchester consists of 3.26 square miles and is about 20 miles north of New York City; it's run by a town supervisor and a five-member town board. The town hall houses several offices, including those of the comptroller, town clerk and police department.

The Bronxville Engine & Hose Co. is one of five firehouses in the Eastchester fire district under the direction ofMore Fire Chief Michael P. Grogan. It consists of two professional firefighters, on duty for 24 hours, and two fire engines. The firehouse serves residents of Bronxville and the surrounding town of Eastchester and village of Tuckahoe. In the event of a large-scale emergency, the Bronxville Engine & Hose Co. enlists the resources of professional and volunteer firefighters from four other departments.

Tuckahoe Housing Authority, Section 8

The Tuckahoe Housing Authority, incorporated in 1938, administers 175 Section 8 housing-choice vouchers a year withMore funding from the capital fund program. The vouchers provide low-income families, individuals, senior citizens and the disabled with decent, safe and sanitary housing. A subsidy is paid to a landlord, and the tenant pays the difference between the actual rent and the subsidy. The Tuckahoe Housing Authority also provides 150 units of public housing.</p> <p>Its executive director is Irina Matveevskii.</p>

Village of Bronxville - Recreation Department

The Recreation Department is responsible for all matters pertaining to tennis and paddle tennis.

TheMore department issues permits for the tennis season, which lasts from mid-April through September. Courts are open to residents and non-residents, but all players must either have a permit or be registered as a guest. There are various tennis programs for adults and children, including those run by tennis pro Mike Virgilio. Court reservations can be made through the department on Tuesdays and Fridays or through the pro shop on Garden Avenue.</p> <p>Permits are also issued for paddle tennis, which has both a winter and summer program for men and women. Private lessons are available.</p> <p>Susan Laughlin is the head of the Recreation Department. </p>

Tuchahoe Village Court Clerk

The Tuckahoe Village court clerk handles criminal, civil, vehicle and traffic, parking, small claims, and juryMore trials.</p> <p>Court sessions are held every Tuesday. Every second Tuesday at 7:30pm, the sessions are specifically for civil cases, vehicle and traffic trials, and parking violations.</p> <p>Additionally, the clerk works with building inspectors when there are code or zoning violations.</p> <p>The first Thursday of every month (beginning at 7:30pm) is devoted to small claims cases.  </p> <p>The Tuckahoe village court clerk is Maureen Stevens.</p>
