Grogan, responds to fire emergencies in the Town of…More Eastchester, Village of Bronxville and Village of Tuckahoe.</p> <p>More than 100 years old, the department was formed out of three independent fire companies serving the town and villages. Today there are five firehouses, a formal Board of Fire Commissioners and both salaried and volunteer firefighters.</p> <p>The department also conducts inspections and visits schools and local gatherings to teach children and community members lifesaving fire-safety information.</p> <p>Anyone interested in serving as a volunteer firefighter can contact Deputy Chief Louis Russo at 914-469-8232.</p> <p>The department's <a href="http://www.efdny.com/">Web site</a> is currently under construction, but more information can be found <a href="http://www.eastchester.org/emergencyServices/fire">here.</a></p> <p>Reach the department at 914-793-6402.</p>
