We're not Quitters!

If I could have a dime for every time I hear that phrase and then it's contradicted I would have my private resort in Maui.
As parents we all want to instill good habits into our kids but are we always willing to follow through?

No one said raising kids is easy and it's even more difficult when they are reluctant to do something. After many arguments it's easier to throw in the towel and find something new.

This may solve the problem temporarily but think about the repercussions it can cause in the long run. After several times of doing this what is your child learning? Are they learning how to follow though or just go far enough and stop when the going gets rough?

Over the years I have had many parent assure me that they are not quitters only to stop when their child hits an obstacle.

Think about later in life when they go to college, get a job or get married. Are these the values we want instilled?
