The Eastchester Columbus Day Carnival, an author talk on the charms of Italy and a charity walk are among the fun events that Bronxville residents can enjoy in and around the village this weekend. Get out and enjoy the fall weather!


Eastchester Columbus Day Carnival

The annual carnival begins Friday, Oct. 11, at 6 p.m. and runs through Monday, Oct. 14. Music, dancing, fireworks and a parade are among the attractions for throughout the weekend, in addition to “Real Housewives of New Jersey” cast member Kathy Wakile on Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visit www.EastchesterColumbusDay.org for more information and admission prices. Intimate Conversations with Authors: Dr. Raleen D’Agostino Mautner
Author, columnist, radio personality, and self-help specialist Dr. Raeleen D’Agostino Mautner will discuss her new book, “Lemons into Limoncello: From Loss to Personal Renaissance with the Zest of Italy,” at the Westchester Italian Cultural Center at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12. Third Annual Footsteps for Families Walk

Grand Marshall Joshua Lopez and his mother, Shannon – along with their team family members and friends – will walk to raise money for Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley at the 3rd Annual Footsteps for Families. The family-friendly walk and family fun event will take place on Sunday, Oct. 13, on the grounds of the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital at Westchester Medical Center, 100 Woods Road, Valhalla. The pre-registration fee is $10; $15 on the day of the walk. Registration is at 9:30 a.m. and the two-mile walk starts at 10 a.m., and will be followed by family fun activities until noon.
