Yoga for Youngsters; Farmers Market; Anime; Theatre

Yoga for Youngsters

Bring your child to Wave Hill Public Garden and Cultural Center this morning to practice fun yoga poses that build strength, increase flexibility and relax mind and body. The class, that parents or caregivers are encouraged to actively participate in, is being taught by Catherine McGibney, a Yoga instructor at Bliss. The session is appropriate for children ages 3-5 and will run from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.  Registration is necessary, and will open on the website at 9:30 a.m. The class fee, which includes one child and one parent costs 15$ for members and 23$  for non members. Bronxville Farmers Market

Visit the Bronxville Farmers Market this Saturday, located on Stone Place at Paxton Avenue. The market will operate between 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., rain or shine. Two organic farmers and thirty vendors will be present, all offering ingredients grown or processed locally.

Amusing Anime Club

The Anime Club is holding its monthly meeting this Saturday afternoon from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Bronxville Library. The free club is open to students from sixth to twelfth grade, and will screen different anime shows and movies.

 

Eastchester Summer Dinner Theatre Presents “Damn Yankees”

For their 29th annual production, the Eastchester Summer Dinner Theatre is putting on a performance of the musical, “Damn Yankees,” Saturday evening at 5 p.m. Go see the show at the Lake Isle Country Club, located at 660 White Plains Road in Eastchester. Introduction to Tai Chi

This weekend, you have three different opportunities to introduce yourself to the art of Tai Chi. Learn the basics with Master Domingo Colon, a Tai Chi practitioner with over 45 years of experience. Instruction is individualized, making it easy to learn this beautiful, relaxing Chinese health system. The classes are being offered Friday at 11 a.m., Saturday at 9:30 a.m., and Sunday at 8 a.m. The class is located at Westchester Congregational Church in West Bronxville, up one flight of stairs. Shakespeare Under the Stars

Pipe Dream Theater and the Bronxville Women’s Club present Shakespeare Under the Stars tonight and Saturday night at 8 p.m. The event offers a collection of well-known Shakespeare scenes, and takes place at the Bronxville Women’s club at 135 Midland Avenue. You will expect to see scenes from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Romeo and Juliet, Othello, Twelfth Night, Macbeth, Taming of the Shrew, and more. The event is free, but donations are suggested at the door. No reservations are necessary, and feel free to bring food, blankets, and wine. The show will go on rain or shine.

Adopt a Kitten at PetSmart

Stop by Petsmart this, and every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to check out adorable rescue kittens ready for loving homes. PetSmart is currently sheltering many wonderful, beautiful, friendly, healthy kittens of all colors, shapes, genders, personalities and sizes. Adoption fees apply.
