Weekend Agenda: Italian Fest; Wine Tasting; Puppet Cabaret

3-Day Italian Festival

Westchester County’s largest traditional Italian street festival, the Peekskill Italian Feast begins this Friday. The fourth annual three-day event will run from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday, and noon to 9 p.m. on Sunday. The festival expanded this year, and will take place on Brown Street, Division Street and Park Street in Peekskill. This free, family friendly event has attracted 25,000 people annually. Everybody is Italian for these three days! 

American Girl Doll Movie at Bronxville Library

The new American Girl Doll Movie, “Saige Paints the Sky,” will be shown at the Bronxville Library on Friday afternoon. The movie centers on nine-year-old Saige, a girl with a talent for art, and passionate about horses. Before her new school year Sage finds out that her favorite art class has been cut. Sage decides to take action. It’s a movie for anyone who has ever dreamed big.  

A Very Puppet Cabaret

The Bronxville Women’s Club and its new community theatre group, The Clubhouse Players, are putting on A Very Puppet Cabaret on Friday and Saturday night at 8 p.m. Directed by Liz Muller, this family-friendly event offers old and new favorites, humans and puppets. Wine and Cocktails Tasting

Corx Wine and Liquors will hold a Sizzlin’ Summer Barbecue Wine and Cocktails Tasting this weekend on Friday and Saturday. The free two-day event will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.  The store is located on 1205 Mamaroneck Ave. in White Plains. All guests who attend will receive a special 10 percent discount on their purchases. Corx will also be serving barbecue food including Pulled Pork Sliders, Chicken Skewers and Hot Dogs provided by the Black Bear Saloon. Bronxville Farmers Market

Visit the Bronxville Farmers Market this Saturday, located on Stone Place at Paxton Avenue. The market will operate between 8:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., rain or shine. Two organic farmers and thirty vendors will be present, all offering ingredients grown or processed locally.
