Feast at a Hanukkah Shabbat

Enjoy a Hanukkah Shabbat, learn to build a Menorah and park for free downtown. Those are among the fun activities around the Bronxville area this weekend.

1.) Hanukkah Shabbat Dinner with Comedian Joel Chasnoff at Beth El Synagogue Center: Enjoy a Hanukkah Shabbat dinner with a service Friday. Latkes will be served and there will be an olive oil tasting presented by Fairway. The event will feature Comedian Joel Chasnoff, who will perform beginning at 7:00 p.m. Children will have a supervised games area in a different room. Price: $20/Adult, $10/Children ages 3-8. 2.) Park on Patch: While you’re shopping in Bronxville on Saturday, park for free courtesy of Patch.com and American Express! From noon to 6 p.m. in the Pondfield Road area of Bronxville, park for free as part of Small Business Saturday. Enjoy your local, small business shopping!


3.) Annual Menorah Lighting and Do-It-Yourself Menorah Building: Westchester’s Ridge Hill Town Square is hosting its annual Menorah lighting ceremony and do-it-yourself Menorah building workshop on Sunday. Kids can build Menorahs with paint-sticks and help construct the Community Menorah with PVC-piping and some help from the experts at Home Depot.
