Yorktown: 'Dance 4 a Cause'
When: Friday, Aug. 23 at 7 p.m.

Description: It's an evening of dance and hope that will benefit Adrenal Cancer Research. There will be special guest performances from Broadway star Craig Schulman, star of Les Miserables, Jekyll & Hyde and the Phantom of the Opera. Guest speaker is Gary D. Hammer, M.D., Ph.D. director of University of Michigan. Yorktown's Ashley Bonner organized the first dance show to help raise money for adrenal cancer research after her aunt Wendy Holman was diagnosed with the rare form of cancer in 2007.

Description: Enjoy a story in a new way by reading the pages of a story book posted around the outside of the library. At the end, go inside the library to receive a cookie (during library hours) This activity is self-directed.
