- 2013 Eastchester Fire Commissioner Election: The Eastchester Fire Commissioner’s election will be held Tuesday to appoint a member of the Eastchester Board of Fire Commissioners for a term of five years. The Eastchester Fire District is a separate and autonomous unit of government that serves Eastchester, Bronxville, as well as Tuckahoe. The election has seen sparse attention from voters in recent years, with participation of only about 4 percent of the eligible electorate. - Henna Program for Students in Grades 6-12: Instructor Margie Nugent will teach students about Henna decoration and demonstrate its use. Henna is a natural substance made from plants that is applied to the skin to make a decorative design. It has been used for thousands of years. - Health & Wellness: The Trampoline Effect: Life and career coach Judy Garfinkel presents an interactive program Thursday that will focus on confidence and resilience during life transitions. - The week kicks off with high temperatures in the 40s on Monday and then cools off with highs in the 30s for the rest of the week. Rain is expected Monday, but the rest of the week looks to be dry. Low temperatures primarily in the 20s.
