Volunteers and a Piano Requested in Tuckahoe

As the Andrus Early Learning Center prepares to move into their new home in Village Hall in Tuckahoe, volunteers are needed to not only help with the move, but perhaps long-term volunteer opportunities as well.

After signing a deal to l beginning in late March, Andrus is now looking for volunteers to not only assist with the move-in, but also perhaps volunteer with them on a long-term basis.

Some of the needs that Andrus is looking for are:

  • Volunteers to help assemble furniture for the new space
  • Volunteers to inventory and help set up our new Toy Library
  • Help pack our old space at Father Fata Hall
  • Volunteer to help set up the new space at Village Hall!

The brand-new Andrus Early Learning Center in Tuckahoe's will also feature a charming Children's Theater for performances, music-making and more.

What's not yet secured for that space however is a piano - an upright or spinet is preferable due to space considerations, but Andrus also says that they would love to hear about a baby grand for donation too.

So if you would like to volunteer to help Andrus establish their new office in Village Hall, or if you have information on how they may secure a donation of a Piano for the enjoyment and education of 90 small children who will learn, grow and explore at the Andrus Early Learning Center starting next month, please call Kevin Cook at 914.965.3700 Ext.1241 or e-mail him at Kcook@jdam.org to discuss this very special donation.
