5th Annual Green Day Festival in Eastchester this Saturday

Eastchester's Green Day Festival will be held this Saturday Jun. 9 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Eastchester Town Hall and is perfect for a family activity to learn about how to help the environment.

Nothing says Springtime than fresh flowers and gardening and this Saturday, the 5th annual Eastchester Green Day Festival will take place at Town Hall from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. with tons of giveaways, free food, free plants, coffee and more.

With more than 70 local organizations participating, the exhibits will include lots of fun activities for the kids along with educational activities put on by the Greenburg Nature Center and other activities dealing with composting, solar energy, green roofs, home efficiency and much more.

Parents and kids will not only learn how to spruce up their own gardens, but also how to live more energy efficiently and how to "be green".

For more information and a complete list of participants and updated schedules visit GreenEastchester.com or call 917-806-3330.

The event is sponsored by the EEC in conjunction with the Town of Eastchester and the Villages of Bronxville and Tuckahoe.

This really looks like fun and Patch has a whole photo album of pictures from last year's event.
