Bronxville's Cain Ranked in National Poll

The runner from Bronxville HS that is considered to be one of the top runners in the nation has been ranked #4 nationally by tullyrunners.com racking up many record breaking performances thus far in her career.


Even though the ranking system is subjective, tullyrunners.com has ranked Junior Mary Cain fourth in the nation amoung female High School runners.

Their ranking system is based on previous performances as well as projections for the upcoming year.

Cain set the National 1500m record (4:11.01) at World Junior Champs in Barcelona, Spain last year and in addition to the 1500m, she set NY State outdoor records in the 800m (2:03.34) and Mile (4:39.28), and had the fastest NY time this year in 3000m (9:32.2).

According to tullyrunners.com, Cain enters the 2012 XC season as one of the favorites to win national honors.

It's going to be an interesting year watching Mary mature and grow as an athlete and more than likely set even more records, good luck!
