In Pictures: Bronxville Boys Soccer Cruises Past Irvington

Behind a brace by senior Nick Capasso, the Broncos comfortably won their opening game of the season over Irvington by a score of 6-0.

In a game that was moved from Bronxville High School to Fleming Field in Yonkers due to flooding, the Broncos' varsity soccer team handidly defeated the team from Irvington Thursday afternoon, notching their first victory of the young season and sending a clear message to its next opponents: this team is no joke.

Bronxville scored three goals in each half of the game, and shutout Irvington for a dominant 6-0 win. Goals were scored by Seniors Nick Capasso (2), Ted Marrinan and Joey Colvin, and sophomores Matt Wagner and Henry Carmel. The Broncos next game is this Saturday at 2 p.m. at New Rochelle High School in another non-league matchup.
