Eastchester's Palumbo Claims 1st Place Medal

Sophomore Victor Palumbo (Eastchester, N.Y.) claimed 1st place overall in the men's 8K race at the Queensborough Invitational on Sunday afternoon. This is his second consecutive medal after finishing 8th last weekend at the Baruch Invitational.

Palumbo crossed the finish line with a time of 28:07 and finished 11 seconds ahead of his nearest competitor. As a team, the men would finish 10th out of the 19 teams which competed at the Van Cortlandt Park course.

On the women's side senior Sade Jones (Paterson, N.J.) led the Clippers with a time of 26:34 in the 5K race. The team would finish 11th out of the 12 teams at the event.

Concordia will now have a couple weeks off as they will prepare for their next event on Sunday, October 5th at the Technology XC Challenge at Branch Brook Park in Newark, N.J.
