Eastchester-Concordia Coach to Enter Hall of Fame

Walsh coached at Eastchester High School from 1979 until 2008. He will be inducted into the State Hall of Fame on June 15.

Eastchester's Skip Walsh will be inducted into the State Hall of Fame this summer. Walsh is currently Concordia's softball coach. Previously, he coach at Eastchester High School.

“It’s exciting,” Coon told Lohud's Debbie Schechter. “I’m honored. I’ve always been proud to be from New York. I went to school out in California and the Pac-10. There aren’t a whole lot of people from New York out there. It’s definitely something that I’m proud of — that I grew up in a cold weather state playing an outdoor sport. It will be a fun day to remember the good old days.”
