Recent Mamaroneck High School graduate Abby Rohman left this week to head to Dublin, Ireland, where she will compete for the United States in the International Sailing Federation Youth World Championships.

Rohman, 18, will compete in the International 420s, a girls two-person dinghy. Her partner in the event is Megan Grapengeter-Rudnick, of Darien, CT.

Earlier this summer, the two placed 11th out of 130 teams in the Kieler Woche event in Germany. Many of the same teams at that event will be at the Youth World Championships.

The International Sailing Federation Youth World Championships take place July 12-21.
