Daily Sports Digest: Bronxville’s Cain Qualifies for Nike Nationals

As all the local athletes finish up their turkey leftovers winter sports are quietly beginning around the area. The hockey and bowling seasons have already started while other sports will be spending the next week fine tuning their rosters in scrimmages and final preseason practices.

While fall sports have virtually wrapped up across the county, Bronxville’s cross country star Mary Cain’s season will continue as she qualified for the Nike Nationals to be held on the company’s head quarters in Portland Oregon next Saturday.

The Tuckahoe baseball team also received their over the long weekend.
