8th Annual Augie Nardone Basketball Scholarship Game Tonight In Eastchester

If you are looking for an exciting basketball match-up as well as a much anticipated community event, then perhaps you may want to head down to for a 5 p.m. basketball game between and Eastchester High School.

This game has the making of a classic battle with both teams having sensational years on the hardwood and in years past, residents from Tuckahoe and Eastchester have come out by the hundreds to cheer on their local High School athletes.

The contest's purpose is also to honor the life and memory of former Eastchester policeman Augie Nardone, a local man who was heavily involved with youth recreational programs in both communities.

After the varsity game, students from the grammar schools of both districts will compete in a tug-of-war and this will be followed by the faculty of the opposing districts playing what is always a fun basketball game.

All proceeds from the evening go to each school which then selects a student (or students) to receive a scholarship at the end of the year.

So come on out to Eastchester High School at 5 p.m. tonight to take part in all the fun and help celebrate and honor the achievement of officer Augie Nardone.
