Bronxville’s Miremonde Center for Arts and Culture Celebrates 30 Years

The Miremonde Center for Arts and Culture will host a gala on Nov. 20 celebrating its 30th anniversary.

Elyena “Lena” Miremonde has made a career in arts and music for decades built on a simple, yet powerful, premise.

“Our slogan is ‘No Talent Left Behind,’” said Miremonde, founder of the Miremonde Center for Arts and Culture, located 77 Wrexham Road in Bronxville. “Music is not for the elite, it is for everyone. We stress that in our complicated world - with all the economic and social challenges that surround us - people need more of a relationship with arts, music and human communication. That is our philosophy.”

Miremonde and her son, Julian Lampert, an accomplished composer, pianist and music producer, run the Miremonde Center, which introduces children and adults to the wonders of not only music and art but of the world beyond notes and melodies.

“The center is not just about art and music, it’s a collaboration of art, music, science and literature,” said Miremonde.

Among the activities students can participate in at the center are concerts, exhibits and shows, and Miremonde also hosts an internet radio program from the center that has had guests such as CNBC contributor Carol Roth, celebrated lawyer Mark Barondess, Cleveland Clinic cardiologist Dr. Stephen Nissen and New Age dentist Dr. J. Timothy Rainey.

Additionally, the center is launching online instructional sessions with Lampert through Skype, new children’s workshops and an initiative where the company will create customized music for people and businesses for special events. Lampert is also releasing a new album of original compositions - called “Between Times” - that will be available on iTunes and for sale on CD at the center.

The new additions mark the center’s 30th anniversary, which will be celebrated at a reception and concert at the center on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person, $10 for students and free for children under the age of 10.
