Superstorm Sandy has thrown a wrench into our children's winter break this year. The administration cut out three of this week's vacation days due to the time off during the storm.
Instead of getting the whole week off, students had to show up today. They will also have to be in school Wednesday and Thursday. That means that the kids only had Monday off in addition to the day that they will be out of school on Friday.
The administration made the move back in November. At that time, officials also said that the following days off could be on the chopping block, if there are any more school closures caused by bad weather. Please note that these days are in the order that they would be restored to "instructional days."
