Directed by math and computer teacher, Catherine Gmoser, the show featured a cast and crew of approximately 100 students who staged three performances in March, two of which were sold out. This marked Ms. Gmoser’s 19th production at TUFSD and the first time the school staged Hairspray, which students helped select.

The prestigious Metro Awards, hosted by the Helen Hayes Youth Theatre and producer Danielle Rudess, recognize achievements in high-school musicals from Rockland, Westchester and Bergen counties. A total of 36 productions across the three counties qualified for nominations this year. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Monday, June 2, 2014 at Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, a new location for the Metros.
