Eastchester schools will open two hours late Tuesday due to frigid temperatures, according to officials.
The school system made the decision late Monday night and sent out the following announcement to alert parents and residents of the plan:
Due to the extreme weather and the possibility of dangerous conditions in the morning, all Eastchester schools will be on a 2 hour delayed opening Tuesday, January 7, 2014. All bus schedules will be adjusted for a 2 hour delay.
Additionally, Bronxville Montessori School will delay its opening until 10 a.m. Tuesday, and Lincoln Academy in Eastchester also has cancelled morning classes.
