Bronxville School Reports Minimal Damage

School officials offer a report of the damage in and around the Bronxville School with officials saying that no flooding has been observed thus far.

 

The following is an announcement from the Bronxville School District.

Although the winds from storm Sandy damaged a fence and blew down a light pole, the Bronxville School experienced no flooding and has not lost power.

Although we are in the process of restoring material and equipment to the first floor (which had been emptied as a precautionary measure), there are local and regional challenges that make reopening school problematic.

These problems include availability of food service and road access to the school for the faculty and staff.

With widespread power outages, communication to all constituencies is also difficult.

We will make an announcement concerning school on Wednesday, October 31 later in the afternoon of October 30.
