Bronxville School District's Flood Mitigation Project

The Bronxville Union Free School District is working on figuring out what the next step will be in its flood mitigation project. The project calls for underground storm water storage tanks to be placed underneath Hayes Field.

"The district has engaged an engineer to advise us on potential impacts, and full consideration of this project is an important item for this fall," according to Superintendent David Quattrone.

The project has been made possible by a grant from FEMA. As the project continues, the Board of Education is doing its own architectural, legal and engineering review. District officials say that, "The Board's portion of this project could not proceed without a referendum."
