Robinson is a cousin of Yeardley Love, and has played a pivotal role in developing the One Love Foundation since its inception in May 2010.

In addition to helping the foundation combat Relationship Violence, Robinson’s responsibility on the Advisory Counsel will be to provide knowledge and experience relating to athletic programs and educational institutions in an effort to expand One Love Foundation programs to high schools and colleges across the country.

She will continue to serve as a foundation spokesperson, and manage the annual Yeardley Reynolds Love Unsung Hero Award, which is given annually to an Atlantic Coast Conference male and female lacrosse player who serve as positive role models on and off the field.

"After experiencing the devastating loss of Yeardley, I have learned so much about relationship violence, and the cycle it perpetuates,” said Robinson.

“I am committed to helping the Foundation achieve its goal of educating young people about relationship violence so other families don't have to suffer the anguish that our family has. We need to change public attitudes about this behavior - it is simply not acceptable to ignore it."

Robinson graduated from Yale University, where she was captain of the lacrosse team, with a BA in American Studies before spending 13 years in the asset management/hedge fund industry.

She worked in investor relations & marketing at Satellite Asset Management, LP; Citadel Investment Group, LLC; Wellington Management, LLP and Baupost Group LLC, before returning to her sport to coach lacrosse full time as the head coach at Bronxville High School in Bronxville, N.Y.

“Our family has been extremely supportive and instrumental in the creation of the One Love Foundation,” said Sharon Love, mother of Yeardley and co-founder of the One Love Foundation.

“The addition of Sharon Robinson to the National Advisory Counsel is an exciting step forward that I’m glad we could take while incorporating those who were closest to Yeardley.

Sharon will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Counsel while keeping her cousin top of mind.”

In September the One Love Foundation launched a national education campaign to combat Relationship Violence. The initiative, geared towards 16 to 24-year-olds, aims to educate, empower and enlighten young people via a powerful Public Service Announcement and their free and anonymous One Love DA Application available for smart phones.

The PSA and App make up phase one of their “Be 1 for Change” initiative that will serve as the base of a long-term campaign to combat Relationship Violence (RV) in the United States.
