Stewart-Cousins Looking Forward To New Term

Tonight, the incumbent state senator and Democrat told Patch she was excited for the coming term.

"I am really excited," Sen. Andrea Stewart-Cousins said. "I believe this is what the majority of people want, to see us go forward as a nation and go forward as a state. The wins can help us continue to progress our work with the government of course, and bring progress and important policies forward in the nation."

Scarsdale Polls 'Steady All Day'

Tonight, the Scarsdale Village Clerk said tis election day "was busy for sure and steady all day." By about 7:00 p.m., the unofficial count of voters that placed ballots was 6,000.  There are 12,280 registered voters in Scarsdale.

Sen. Stewart-Cousins To Watch Results In White Plains Tonight

Incumbent NY State Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins will be watching the election results live with Westchester County Democrats in White Plains tonight.

Stewart-Cousins, who is running unopposed, represents Scarsdale, now in the 35th District.

Unopposed Paulin In White Plains Tonight

In office since November 2000, New York State Assemblywoman Amy Paulin of Scarsdale has had a relatively quiet election season. 

According to her district offices, Paulin will thanks her campaign supporters in White Plains tonight following the close of the polls at 9 p.m.

Paulin is running unopposed in today's election for the District 88 seat representing Scarsdale, Pelham, Pelham Manor, Bronxville, Eastchester, Tuckahoe and parts of White Plains and New Rochelle.

According to her website, Paulin has authored 121 bills enacted into law including 16 in 2011.

Voters Out In Force

Voters in Scarsdale and Greenburgh have been keeping the poll workers busy today.

Over at the Scarsdale Public Library this afternoon, the polling stations were full as well as the parking lot. Although the library side was a bit quiet, according to Library Director Elizabeth Bermel, the poling station set up inside of the Scott Room was bustling.

Across the way in Greenburgh, the voters flocked to the polls. At the Virginia Road School, one poll worker said this election day was the busiest they had ever been.

All Polls Open In Scarsdale Today

Scarsdale voters are in luck for Election Day.

All polling places in the Village of Scarsdale now have electricity, according to Village Clerk Donna Conkling.

There are eight polling places in Scarsdale open on Tuesday, November 6. The polls close at 9:00 p.m. tonight.

The sites are:

  • Edgewood School
  • Crossway Firehouse
  • Village Hall
  • Fox Meadow
  • Heathcote
  • Quaker Ridge
  • Greenacres Schools
  • Scarsdale Public Library

Cant we please include Greenburgh info on the Scarsdale site?? I live in Scarsdale proper yet vote and use Greenburgh services tho my zip code is 10583. E.G., I have no idea from your site if my voting location, Greenville School, is open or not. Thanks!!
