Eastchester Fire Dist. Election Meet & Greet

Bronxville Village Hall will host the Board of Fire Commissioners candidate forum this evening.

The candidates who are running for the Board of Fire Commissioners will be in Bronxville tonight. The candidates are gathering for a meet and greet from 8 p.m. up until 9:30 p.m. The gathering will be held at the Bronxville Village Hall.

Voting will take place on December 11. The candidates are Scarsdale resident Steven Baker, Eastchester resident John Palazzolo and Scarsdale resident Raymond  Albanese, according to EFD Commissioner Jerry Napolitano.

Here are the places where you can vote between the hours of 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. on December 11.

EASTCHESTER:

  • Eastchester Town Hall, 40 Mill Road - Districts: 6, 7, 8, 9, 24, 25, 26, 28, 30, 37, 38 & 39
  • LeRoy Gregory Post # 979, 40 Bell Rd, behind Equinox Gym, Eastchester Districts: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 23, 27, 29, 34 & 36
  • Union Corners Fire Station, 10 Oregon Avenue Districts: 15, 31, & 35

 
TUCKAHOE:

BRONXVILLE:

  • Bronxville Village Hall, 200 Pondfield Rd. Districts: 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 & 22 (All Bronxville Village)


The Board of Fire Commissioners governs the fire district and, according to the town website, "are responsible for general administration; the appointment of department personnel (paid and volunteer), physician, attorney and secretary (salaried positions), and the preparation and adoption of the annual Fire District budget after a public hearing." The board meets monthly, except for July and August.
