Back to Normal for DPW in Bronxville

With crews having opened back up most roadways in the village, sanitation and recycling schedules are back to normal as well as curbside pick-up for debris left behind by this week's storm.

Hurricane Sandy left behind what seemed like an insurmountable task for DPW crews across Westchester but Bronxville DPW has responded well and Supervisor Rocco Circosta says that all sanitation and recycling is back on a normal schedule.

"Our crews have opened most roads and are now collecting organic debris from the storm," said Circosta who continued that, "in conjunction with this we are also picking up fall leaves with separate crews and ask our resident to bring their storm debris to curbside for pickup."

DPW asks that you do not mix storm debris with leaves and that the debris is cut to manageable lengths.

Collection crews will be continuously collecting this material from curbside over the next few weeks and note that there will not be a sanitation collection next Tuesday Nov. 6 due to Election Day.
