Winter Storm: 24-Car Accident on Bronx River Parkway Injures 30

The inclement weather caused a massive two-dozen-car pile up on the Bronx River Parkway in Yonkers late Sunday that injured 30 people, according to police as reported by LoHud.com.

The injuries were not believed to be serious as a result of the 11 p.m. crash near Desmond Avenue, authorities said.

A similar 27-car crash that injured six people was reported in Greenwich on I-95 between exits 4 and 5 at 11:30 p.m., according to multiple media reports. 

Yonkers police, Westchester County police, Yonkers firefighters and ambulance corps responded to the scene of the Bronx River Parkway crash.

Numerous accidents were reported throughout the area Sunday night and Monday morning due to the weather.
