A Tuckahoe woman, who back in August was arrested for allegedly breaking into a victim's home in Rye Brook and violently attacked a woman she claims was having a relationship with her husband was formally arraigned on Tuesday on a five count indictment.
Tuckahoe resident Giovanna Osorio, who resided at 269 Columbus Ave. is facing the following charges:
- two counts of Burglary in the Second Degree, class “C” Violent Felonies,
- one count of Aggravated Sexual Abuse in the Second Degree, a class “C” Felony,
- one count of Assault in the Second Degree, a class “D” Violent Felony,
- one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class “A” Misdemeanor.
Additionally, the victim’s four year old son was present during the attack according to prosecutors.
Following the arraignment, District Attorney Janet DiFiore stated that, “jealously, rage and loss of complete control over an alleged relationship are no excuse to break into someone’s home in the middle of the night and in an attempt to humiliate the victim, sexually abuse them."
"And for the entire assault to be witnessed by the victim’s four year-old son, is even more disturbing,” she continued.
Osorio's next court appearance will be on Jan. 15 and she faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in state prison on the top counts of the indictment.
