20 year-old Michael Gladstein of Armonk was arrested by Tuckahoe PD for allegedly signing two checks totaling $2,350 that he got from a Tuckahoe woman's checkbook.

Tuckahoe Police have arrested Michael Gladstein of 12 Stony Brook Pl. in Armonk and charged him with two counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument, both felonies.

The arrest stems from a report Tuckahoe PD received from a Tuckahoe woman who stated that when she was checking her bank account, she discovered two checks were made out to Gladstein, totalling $2,350.

The 51 year-old victim has a daughter that is apparently friends with Gladstein and police say that connection is likely how the checks got into his possession.

Gladstein is being held in the county jail on $7,500 bond.

According to Tuckahoe PD, Gladstein was in the victim's home over the last few weeks and allegedly wrote two checks from the woman's checkbook, one for $350 and the other for $2,000, made out to himself.

He deposited the checks in his own bank account, police said.

The bank put a hold on the larger check police said and Gladstein surrendered to village PD on Wednesday Sept. 12. and is due back in court later this month.
