Police Use Dogs in Search for Bank Robber

Police: Man said he had a weapon; got away with cash.

Yorktown and Westchester County police officers are using search dogs to comb the Jefferson Valley area in search of a man who robbed a TD Bank branch late this afternoon.

Yorktown police confirmed that a man who threatened that he had a weapon got away with cash in a robbery at the bank just off Route 6. However, no one was injured in the robbery around 5 p.m.

Police did not reveal the amount of cash taken in the robbery.
