Police Remind Eastchester of Level 3 Sex Offender Living in Town

Police have sent a new alert to the Eastchester community, reminding people here that a level 3 sex offender is living on Lee Avenue. Police say that 48-year-old Joseph C. Reutershan has previously been convicted of "promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child less than 17 years of age, possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child less than 16 years of age and disseminating indecent material to minors in the first degree."

Reutershan moved to Eastchester back in August of 2012, according to a previous report. Authorities say that the 48-year-old Eastchester man is no longer supervised by the NYS Division of Parole. A level three offender is at "at high risk of repeat offense and a threat to public safety…," according to the New York Division of Criminal Justice Services.
