This was not a accidental debris fire. The residents of Hen Island believe they have some type of special privileges to burn garbage and debris. They were burning discarded, damaged debris from Hurricane Sandy, so they did not have to go thru the expense of hiring dumpsters and carting the material off the Island. Just one more example of how Hen Island displays disrespect for the health and safety of residents and the environment. Picture attached above.
