More Break-Ins in Larchmont

Larchmont police reported two burglaries and a larceny from a vehicle.

After the Larchmont Police —both at a public board meeting and in an automated call the week of Jan. 9—about a string of home burglaries since Thanksgiving that had upset residents not accustomed to such offenses, the verdict remains out as to whether these occurrences were an anomaly or not.

According to the most recent blotter posted on the s website, a Hall Avenue resident reported that someone entered her home on Jan. 16 and stole property worth over $2,000.  A Kane Avenue resident also reported that $400 in property was taken from her unlocked car, parked in the driveway, on Jan. 18.  And, on Jan. 20, a Boston Post Road business owner reported that someone forced entry into the establishment, but no property was removed.

Police have urged residents to keep all windows and doors of their homes and cars locked and to report all suspicious incidents to the police department at (914) 834-1000.

Maybe if cops would transport their bulk on foot or bicycle in neighborhhoods as opposed to cruising or dozing in large SUVs, they would see more burglaries in progress.

they are too busy harassing their own residents. I was ticketed for 4 hour OT parking while visiting a friend on Concord - not ONE sign. My ex husband was walkng to train early saturday mornign to go to work - stopped and harassed by cops. Larchmont cops attack their own - I moved here form Pelham Manor 3 years ago and have been nothing but disgusted with the officers in thsi town. They can take a lesson from Pelham cops.
