A local man is in the dog house -- and his wife was taken to the big house -- after he forgot her birthday and she was arrested after she allegedly attacked him, according to a report on file at the .
It was her 40th birthday.
The woman, Hyeon Seo Ahn, reportedly admitted to Officer Stephen Becker that she had attacked her husband, who was bleeding from scratches on his right arm, the front of his neck and ear. She stated that, “without hesitation ‘I hit my husband,” Becker's report of the Aug. 12 incident said.
According to the report, the victim had forgotten his wife's birthday repeatedly over the course of their marriage, and after he forgot her birthday again this year, she wanted him to make up for it by throwing a big party. He “did not want to talk about it,” Becker wrote, “so she began to attack him.”
According to the report, Ahn woke her husband up in the bed and began to shake him. He called police on her phone.
Her husband reportedly said that he “wanted her gone,” but he didn’t want her to go to jail, so he did not press charges.
She was charged with domestic assault causing injury and taken to the Polk County Jail.
