Bronxville Teen Awaits Negligent Homicide Trial

Bronxville teen James Sinclair Welch is waiting to find out when his negligent vehicular homicide trial will begin, according to lohud.com. The 19-year-old pleaded not guilty back in September to charges of negligent vehicular homicide while under the influence.

Investigators say the Bronxville teen was driving an ATV when the 19-year-old he was with, Parker MacVeigh Regan, fell off the vehicle and died from his injuries. The two had been riding at the Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana on August 3.

Regan, who lived in Bronxville as a child, had been Welch's boarding school roommate at Connecticut's Suffield Academy.

Welch, who has to wear a monitoring bracelet, recently got court permission to  attend a culinary school, according to lohud.com.

If convicted, Welch could face up to 30 years in prison and $50,000 in fines, according to Montana law.
