Bronxville PD Arrests Driver With Marijuana

After stopping 20 year-old Jose Parada's vehicle for tinted windows, Bronxville PD recovered several small bags of Marijuana from his possession.

made a routine traffic stop of a 200 BMW for driving with tinted windows and subsequently arrested the driver, 20 year-old Jose Parada of Yonkers for unlawful possession of marijuana.

Officer Martin Dentini approached the vehicle and immediately smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, at which point he advised Parada that the Eastchester K9 unit would be responding to inspect the vehicle.

Once hearing this according to Bronxville PD, Parada handed over the remaining 12 small baggies containing marijuana left in the car.

Parada was released on his own recognizance pending his next court appearance.

Well again, I think it is the departments vigilance that makes an arrest like this possible.

And, thankfully, this desperado will appear in court to answer for this heinous offense. Thus, saving America's women and children from degenerates such as this. Law enforcement needs to re-direct its focus on crimes... to those that are REAL crimes. I spent 5 years in Federal Prison for a marijuana offense. While I was there, I watched armed bank robbers come and go in as little as 20 months. After 3 years 'behind the wall,' I pointed this out to the parole board. Their response: “You must understand, yours was a very serious offense.” How do you respond to that mentality? I laughed about the parole panel's comment for 2 more years (as I still sat in prison), then wrote my book: Shoulda Robbed a Bank No, it is not a treatise on disproportionate sentences, but a look at what the 'marijuana culture' is really about. People pursuing happiness in their own way. Harming no one...nor their property. That’s my contribution to helping point out just how ludicrous our pot laws truly are. I hope you check it out.

Hey Flying, my only response to your comment would be that Marijuana does impair your ability to drive, just like alcohol and if they were operating a motor vehicle, it becomes an issue of public safety you know.

Just one-It's time to legalize it. I would think more people have died in the past year as a result of texting while driving, rather than the result of smoking a lethal joint.
