Armored Truck Stopped by Bronxville PD

An armored vehicle belonging to Titan Armored Car and Courier was stopped for speeding by Bronxville PD and further investigation revealed the driver was allegedly carrying an unlicensed handgun.

 

While traveling along Midland Ave, 43 year-old Charles Thompson of Newburgh was stopped by Bronxville Police for speeding while operating an armored truck owned by Titan Armored Car and Courier.

Once stopped, police discovered that Thompson was in possession of a 357. Magnum Smith and Wesson revolver that according to police, he was not licensed to carry.

Thompson was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree which is a misdemeanor and released on $250 bail pending his next court appearance.

The armored vehicle, which did contain cash and other valuables at the time from Thompson's route was released by to Titan.
