Must Do: Shop for Yourself, Our Troops

J. McLaughlin in Bronxville supports Operation Gratitude.

We continue to be impressed with how locals are pitching in to support our troops overseas.  We’ve told you about how everyone from to have stepped up to help those fighting overseas, and now local clothier J. McLaughlin is getting in on the act.

This Friday, May 20, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the store will donate 15% of its sales to Operation Gratitude, which provides care packages for the troops.  To date, the group has shipped over 600,000 care packages.

The shop will also be collecting travel-sized toiletries to ship to our men and women in uniform, so stop by or first and stock up before heading over to J. McLaughlin to buy something for yourself.

A store spokesperson says this is the first time they’ve teamed up with Operation Gratitude, but with the upcoming Memorial Day holiday, it was a good time to remember those serving our country.   That it is, and we applaud their efforts.
