T.G.I.F.

Keep your iPad dry today. Plus, Chantilly is hosting a counting contest to win a dozen cupcakes.

At least it’s not snowing. That’s all we can say about the weather today. While watching the rain fall in torrents across the area, we had a couple of final  thoughts for the week:

  • It’s great to see now appearing on Patch. Peggy Conway’s weekly take on the Chamber of Commerce and life in the Bronxville area should become a must-read if you’re interested in local business issues, upcoming store specials and and community events.
  • We hear that Marla Cielo, who Women’s Wear Daily tagged as a “BreakThrough Designer” will soon be selling her fashionable handbags and iPad totes here in Bronxville. A teaser on the designer's Facebook page says only that the bags will soon be available at a Bronxville store whose name starts with a  “P."  We’re guessing she doesn’t mean Provisions for  Pets, so look for the bags at Petticoat Lane (or perhaps Peoria Emporium) soon.

Have an excellent (and dry) weekend, everyone!

Free Cupcakes!!!

If you find yourself over on Parkway Road this weekend, stop by for your chance to win a dozen cupcakes.

All you have to do is correctly guess the amount of French Macaroons in the jar (or at least come closer than anyone else) and you'll be stuffing yourself with twelve of their finest baked goods.

The shop just received a nice review in the New York Times, so if you haven't stopped by yet, you're missing out.

And don't bother guessing 44.  That's our guess, and we're not giving you half of our cupcakes.

I'll have to guess 43 and 45 then!
