Community Corner

Eliza Corwin Frost Child Center

This weekend the community at Eliza Corwin Frost celebrated its 40th Anniversary! Parents and teachers boogied the night away at the annual fundraiser organized by the school's Parents' Committee.

This year, the fundraiser was a 70's themed Casino Night and was held at Christ Church Bronxville. The Parents' Committee wanted to honor the year the nursery school was founded, 1973. Parents dressed up in their favorite 70's attire and danced to great disco music provided by parent and DJ Stephen Byfield.

While not dancing, guests enjoyed appetizers and delicious desserts! Thanks to Sheri Leaman for donating wine for the evening. Parents rolled the dice playing black jack, craps, roulette, spinning a money wheel and more!

Throughout the night parents participated in both a silent auction and live auction. Teachers showed off pottery created by students and auctioned off the plates to parents. The silent auction consisted of themed baskets for children of all ages!

The Parents' Committee is fundraising to build a lending library at Eliza Corwin Frost. Many thanks to the all parents and teachers at Eliza Corwin Frost for organizing such a fun event!
