About Town: Beaux Arts Finale in Bronxville

Bronxville Women’s Club Hosts Annual County Competition

Yesterday afternoon, The hosted the reception and awards ceremony for the 66th Annual Beuax Arts Finale in conjunction with The Westchester County Federation of Women’s Clubs, Inc.  Club members from all over Westchester, artists, and residents mingled and enjoyed refreshments against the backdrop of great artwork.

After participating in six local competitions throughout the county earlier in the year, the first place winners are displayed at the Club’s headquarters on Midland Avenue, and were judged by Jackie Kingon, Florence Restivo Kooluris, and Richard Restiano Sr. – familiar faces to those about town in Bronxville.

From oils, mixed media, pastel, and sculpture, the works range from still life to portraits, cityscapes, and more, the pieces are on display through the end of July.

The event raised over $1,000 for the Federation’s scholarship fund.  Competition Chairperson Joyce Balint was joined by Bronxville Club President Mary Westmoreland in announcing the finale winners:
