Ernest Zocchi, 78, of Tuckahoe, died on July 27, 2013.
Devoted father of Stefanie Zocchi-Gizzo and her husband Anthony, Barbara Grasso and her husband Michael and Valerie Dimino and her husband Dominic, dear brother of Jessie Huestis, Yolanda Springer, Valenti Zocchi, Rudy Zocchi, John Charles Zocchi and the late Clisi, George and Julia Zocchi and Mary Ludovici. Cherished grandfather of Stefano Gizzo, Nicolas, Anna and Jonathan Grasso, Julia Dimino, Alessandro Gizzo, Emily Dimino, Josephine Grasso and Andrew Dimino. Stefanie, Barbara and Valerie's mother Joan also survives.
Ernie owned the Crestwood Market in Tuckahoe for over 30 years, served as a trustee in the Village and was the Tuckahoe Village Historian. He also served in the Army and was a member of the AACA and the Buick Club of America.
Visitation at the Westchester Funeral Home Inc., Eastchester - Wednesday, July 31 from 2-4 and 7-9PM. Funeral Mass, Assumption Church, Tuckahoe, Thursday, August 1 at 10:30AM.
