Anthony L. Lettieri "Tony", of Tuckahoe, died on February 27, 2014.
Beloved husband of Margaret "Peggy" Yorizzo Lettieri. Loving father of Lawrence (Marianne) Lettieri, Sara Ann (Heinz) Gruettner, and Elizabeth Lettieri. Cherished grandfather of Mark (Shalynn) Lettieri, Eric (Jennifer) Gruettner, and Michael (Anna) Gruettner; and great grandfather of Bennett, Elliott, and Charles Gruettner. Dear brother of Edward Lettieri.
Tony was born in Jersey City, NJ and grew up in Brooklyn. He joined the US Navy in 1943 and participated in the D-Day invasion and landed on Juno Beach. He was honorably discharged in 1946. He loved baseball, opera, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
