For what has become a holiday tradition in Tuckahoe, people in the village got to watch what was the largest Christmas Tree in the village's history light up the night sky on Saturday night, as part of the two-day "Winterfest" celebration in Depot Sq.
"This tree can definitely challange the one down at Rockefeller Center," joked Mayor Steve Ecklond who, along with other local leaders, could be seen mingling among the crowds of people who came out to celebrate the holiday season.
The 45-foot Norway Spruce was decorated with over 2000 lights and truly did resemble that of its downtown cousin in Manhattan.
From Carolers singing the usual Christmas favorites to Zeppoles, popcorn and even cannoli, residents, who numbered in the thousands enjoyed all of the festivities, which was all sponsored by the .
