Santa Claus Is Coming To Town!

This weekend is packed with holiday events with giant Christmas Trees, songs, ice skating and fun.

 

Being that this is the first weekend in December, people should, if not already, be getting into the holiday spirit and a number of events around the villages this weekend will be sure to make you feel some Christmas cheer.

Bronxville will be holding their annual "Light up the Town" event on Saturday Dec.3 at 4:30 p.m. with Santa on hand near near the corner of Park Pl. and Kraft Ave. The event is hosted by the and should be a great opportunity to meet the jolly man in red and enjoy the holiday lights in Bronxville.

For those who live in Tuckahoe, the will sponsor their annual Winterfest, now in its eight year in Depot Square on Saturday as well from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. and again on Sunday from noon - 6 p.m.

was well attended and one of the hallmark features of the festivities will be the lighting of the Christmas Tree in Depot Square at 6 p.m. on Saturday.

For those who have always wished there was a frozen lake in Depot Square, well your wish will come true as an ice skating rink will be constructed for skaters to enjoy as they glide to the holiday sounds of the season.

Also in Eastchester, the will be sponsoring the 12th annual "Holiday Lights" celebration in Eastchester Memorial Park on Sunday Dec.4 at 5:00 p.m.

The evening will begin with The Eastchester High School Jazz Band, under the direction of Doug Zantay, Band Instructor, performing from 4:30 p.m. until the Tree Lighting ceremony begins at 5:00 p.m.
