Community Corner

The Junior League of Bronxville Invites New Members Coffee

Bronxville,

NY – The Junior League of Bronxville (JLB) will host two informational socials

for prospective new members this Fall. Each social event offers women interested

in joining the organization an opportunity to meet current members, learn how

to become an active member, and obtain more information on how the JLB serves

our community.

If you’d

like to meet new friends and volunteer in your community, please join us in

Bronxville for warm conversation and coffee on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at

9:15 a.m. or for cocktails on Tuesday October 1, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Joining the

Junior League is a wonderful way to hone civic leadership skills, improve your

community, and have fun with like-minded women.

The Junior League of Bronxville has been an active and vocal

women’s volunteer organization in Southern Westchester since 1948. Dedicated to

fighting hunger and improving nutrition in the service areas of Bronxville, Eastchester,

Mount Vernon, Tuckahoe, and Yonkers, JLB members donate over 17,000 hours of

community service annually and work along side hosts of community programs and

agencies. Through their charitable work, JLB members donate over $600,000 worth

of volunteer salaries.  As a

501(c)3 charity, its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
