Dietitians from LHC’s Food and Nutrition Services
Department will be holding free Lunch and Learns in recognition of National Nutrition
Month in March. “Enjoying the Taste of Eating Right” lectures will be held each week from Noon to 1pm in either the Lobby Conference Room or Palmer Hall’s 3rd floor Conference Room. Lunch will also be
provided.
Here are the topics:
March 6th: Prebiotics & Probiotics - “The Dynamic Duo”,
an in-depth review of their health benefits, latest research and food and supplement choices.

March 12th: “Fad Diets and Dietary Lifestyles”, the pros and cons to
some of the current popular diets and dietary restrictions.
March 19th: “Gone Coconuts?”, the truth behind the many health claims of this tropical fruit.

March 27th: “Does Cutting Out Gluten Mean Cutting
Down Your Waist Size?”, an in-depth review of gluten allergies and sensitivities, diseases related to gluten intolerance, latest research and its use as a diet plan.
